Do you notice a change since I quit sugar? It will be three weeks tomorrow. I have had minimal sugar cravings and almost no inclination to 'cheat'... I fill up on
fruit, nuts, vegetables, water, salad, grilled meat, sushi, egg whites,
and of course, oatmeal! The most difficult habit to tame was picking at my son's leftovers.
I jumped on the scale to check (just before sitting down to type this) and I weighed 134lbs. Sometimes the scale goes as low as 132lbs! I started at 140lbs! Yeah! Within the first week or so, I lost the bloated feeling in my entire body. The face in the mirror was my face! So great! My mommy tummy is still squishy. I guess it is time to add in daily abdominal training (I know, I've said this before...I have been slacking on the ab exercises since March). I am still jogging twice a week and using elliptical whenever I get a chance. We also walk every day. I have not been counting calories, so I am not sure if I am generating enough of a deficit to burn fat. I am just eating healthy, and staying full. Since I am still nursing, I am not aggressively trying to lose weight - but let me tell you, I am more than ready to fit back into my old clothing (without muffin top)!!
*Time to try something new....I am going to test-drive some outfits, take
photos, and use these as a guide. Do all the thinking in
advance. I am not sure if I should post photos online, since I am not
exactly fashionable, and well, the internet can be a ruthless place.
