The Modern Vegetarian Kitchen - Peter Berley

For health reasons, we are eating less meat. I think we manage 2-3 vegetarian meals every week. This cookbook, The Modern Vegetarian Kitchen, made it possible. 

The meals and sides are unbelievably delicious. Really great recipes that are easy to follow and turn out perfect - on the first attempt! 

I have no idea what ragout is (sounds fancy)... but that's what's for dinner.

Update: Man, I am not sure I like this stew....figures, right?  


  1. Vegetarian is hard for me. I run out of ideas and I'm too lazy to look stuff up in a cookbook. I'm always happy to see the finished product for inspiration. I'd like to eat less meat too. -Caitlin

    I am still undecided if I love this recipe... i loved the other recipes...and this will be good
    I am tempted to run out to the bakery and buy a loaf of bread to go with it...but then I would over indulge in bread (my weakness)

  6. Haven't heard of this one, but as a vegetarian I'm always looking for new recipes and good cookbooks - thanks for sharing!
