Did you find it worth the long flight to go for just a weekend? Ive always wanted to do London and it is an intriguing thought to make a weekend of it
I love London and have been lucky enough to visit several times (I lived in the UK for a year, which helped). What an awesome way to spend a long weekend!
Also, the Tate Modern is my favourite!!
So worth it! 3 full days!We took a long weekend in Paris for my 30th birthday, OVER SIX YEARS AGO! So we knew it was going to be ok, time wise...We like airports and train stations, so that part of travel is fun! The actual flight over was a bit of a drag since I can't seem to sleep in a chair, still, it went by fast! On the way home I watched 3 movies. I could have squeezed in a fourth but the third movie was soooo crappy I wanted to toss my headset out the window. Bottom line, just do it. We got a cheap flight, made cheaper still with travel points, and didn't look back!ps. london for any longer would be crazy expensive
I love London! I've been on the eye and I went at night - the sky was clear and the parliament building and big Ben which are across the river were all lit up - not to mention the rest of the city. If I ever went on it again I'd go at the same time - it was so worth it.
Casey - I think you can do the major sights in London in a long weekend - you just need to plan well. I wouldn't recommend trying a long weekend in peak season, but late fall or now would be great. I went once in November and there were hardly any line ups for anything - i walked right in to the tower of London and there were no lines to see the sparkly jewels. One neat thing about London is the museums are free - so you don't have to feel guilty about just seeing the exhibits you want and skipping the rest (I always feel like I have to see EVERYTHING if I've paid admission to a museum like the ROM)
classic. can't go wrong!
love London. Lived there during grad school. go back all the time. So much to see and do even outside London.
I could wear a black sac dress every single day!!! who are we kidding! bonus points if it's fleece and I can sleep in it seriously, I haven't tried the top one on yet...I tried the xs in store, then decided to switch to the size s...i am saving it up - suspense! drama! oooh la la!
I love COS. Did you order online from here? I discovered them last summer when in Sweden and would love more pieces from them.
I didn't order online, this was the only link I could find (or the quickest one at least)...I bought them in LondonI first saw COS in Copenhagen so I made sure to visit a store while in the UK!!! I love the store! I wonder if I would love it sooo much if we had it here, or in the US...I almost hope they stay away!
