I want something versatile enough that they will go with different table settings...Yellows, Blues, Greens...
I LOVE the hobnail ($10usd/glass), but they might be a bit on the large size (how big should water glasses be?). The top three, 'fleur-de-lys' pattern, come in two sizes ($8usd/glass and $6usd/glass).
I would prefer vintage glassware, except I hoped for a set of 12...and that's a tall order. Etsy has three vintage options that I've been ogling all week ...
Vintage Option 1: set of 10 for $45 + at least $20 shipping
Vintage Option 2: set of 10 $30usd + at least $15 shipping (good value! not as versatile)
Vintage Option 3: set of 10 $40usd+ at least $20 shipping
Any winners?
UPDATE:
I bought these guys...12 for $37.50 (including taxes) from Urban Barn. A steal!!! (These were the only glasses they had twelve of...the green goblets were also calling my name but they only had 10 left!)...they are large...the dark amber feels very retro! I am pleased. They weren't my first choice, but they were a bargain! (yes, a bargain means I can get a second style, with no regrets) ....VERY CASUAL...I am not exactly sure how to build a tablescape around them...but it will all come together....slowly! THANKS BEATRICE!!!
Love the fleur-de-lys ones! They appear most versatile to me due to shapes and patterns. Also love the Option 1 and 3 from Etsy.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Michelle, option number 2 seems most versatile. I saw some similar ones at Urban Barn on sale. I saw them a week ago, so not sure if they still have some.
ReplyDeleteOMG I totally need to find an Urban Barn....I am NOT a shopper...I never do retail stores, so whenever I have to buy retail, I probably miss an opportunity!!!
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for the fleur-de-lys ones as well! For some reason I'm drawn to the pink but I think the green would be most versatile (depending on the rest of your tableware). Of the etsy options I'm digging number 2.
ReplyDeleteYep Fleur-de-lys ones!
ReplyDeleteEveryone else is voting for fleur de lys but i would most definitely get the hobnail in blues and greens!
ReplyDeleteHi Shannon,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you found some. I wasn't sure if they still had some, but you got a great deal. Glad I was of help. Have a great weekend!
I'd go for the gold, green and pink ones at top - they're a nicer shape, and would work with more table settings
