I was going to place the
new throw on my headboard. You know, drape it over the back of the headboard to add another cozy layer. Except I can't handle the wool being that close to my face. So, here it sits, on the ghost chair in the corner. (I have a handmade-by-mom purple, brown, and navy afghan for the end of my bed, it is time to pull it out of the linen closet!)
Do you like to snuggle under a wool blanket, or do you find them itchy and suffocating? I want to love my new throw, but whenever it comes near, I start gagging like a cat with a hairball. (Gross, I know)
i'm like you...i find them itchy to sleep with. However...don't mind using them when I'm relaxing on the couch!
ReplyDeleteYour new throw looks great. I picked up a similar pattern one from HomeSense but it's made of polyester. I love the look and feel of the wool but I don't like it on my skin. They are great couch/chair accessories just like pillows, and I usually just blanket myself up to the waist to keep my legs warm (with pants on so that wool doesn't touch my skin).
ReplyDeleteOnly like the if they don't touch my skin. On my bed it's purely decorative, although hubby uses it on his side and loves it.
ReplyDeleteLovely!! Great pattern.
ReplyDeleteI love wool - but only certain kinds. Some wool is itchier than others. Same with cashmere - some cashmere is very itchy.
I'm allergic too. While at the store, I actually rubbed my wrist on my current throw - just to make sure it wasn't itchy.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had more wall space...I would consider hanging it. I love the pattern!
