Last Friday, Jordana, from the blog
White Cabana, emailed pictures of the stacks of pyrex available in St Jacobs. The
green bowl caught my eye. Yes, I paid quadruple what I would have paid if it was sitting on the shelf at goodwill...but the chances of that happening, and me connecting with it...slim!
I also bought this yellow picnic basket for a song!
ps. The boys LOVED the antique mall...my preschooler thought the old trucks and cars were the BEST...and the little one slept peacefully in his car seat/stroller.
pps. I will style up the bowls and basket in the near future (first I need to take down the balloons and Christmas tree)
Love the green bowl!!
ReplyDeleteI think that red/orange bowl's pattern is called something like "Friendship".... We always have lots of Pyrex at the consignment store I've started working at and that patter is always popular!
ReplyDeleteAwesome score Shannon! I hope you and the boys had a nice day out. I'm looking forward to a repeat visit...you just never know what you're going to find there!
ReplyDeletethere was this small chunky beat up pine bench/seat for $60 that I LOVED...but I have no place for it! It was a yelllowy pine, so could be considered ugly (vanish that had yellowed?) but I ADORED it! oh well! I have so many small seats in this house, I seem to have a thing for benches, ottomans and stools!
ReplyDeleteI wanted a friendship bowl, but didn't have room for a full set...so I picked up this little guy....I can't wait to get him in place!!!
ReplyDeletei LOVE my pyrex!! yours are such beautiful colors and patterns! ox
ReplyDeleteDid you happen to see any vintage Christmas ornaments? I really need to get over to St. Jacobs some time.
ReplyDeleteA few booths at the antique mall had vintage ornaments...I bet it is a good place to find them next December!
