Today, I took the boys out thrifting in the double stroller. We haven't been having a lot of success at the thrifts lately...but it feels good to be going semi-regularly - good for my sanity!
It is a 45 minute walk to the closest goodwill. Then we stop for lunch and walk back...I hope these long walks help to condition the boys for a trip to NYC (
I haven't given up the dream!) They were excellent today!
how fun! is it cold where you live? i'm terrible at taking long walks in the winter (especially below 30 degrees)
ReplyDeleteYayyy that they were good. When I had both kiddos home I used to walk to a park about 50 minutes away, have the 2 year old play and then walk back. I like the milk glass you keep finding.
ReplyDeleteWe want to do NYC as well, but we have not had a stroller in over a year! So, not sure how that will work with a 3 and 4.5 year old ;)
Good for you! I'd love to do NYC too..mine is 14 months and not a big fan of stroller time - unless an endless supply of snacks are provided!
ReplyDeleteWhat goodwill is this??? You always find the coolest stuff :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not too cold! Lovely today! Snow tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteYeah those ages could be tough!
ReplyDeleteCan you take a wagon as carry on? Ha!
We took my older son when he was 14 months. He loved the taxis. Wasn't crazy about Moma. The top of rockefeller was a hit!
ReplyDeleteIf I recall correctly, little boxes of raisins kept him occupied on that trip :)
I havent been finding much these days....but I look around my house at all my favorite thrifty things and I am motivated to keep going back with fingers crossed!
ReplyDeletegreat training mommy!!! man..i need to walk more with my kids...
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so fun! I have the VERY SAME PUZZLE from one of my thrifty excursions! But my boys have outgrown it :(
ReplyDeleteoooh I want that Sesame Street Puzzle! You don't see those around anymore! It's all Melissa & Doug all the time
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun day -- and great finds!
