Two New Pyrex Bowls

Over the weekend, we picked up a large red and small orange pyrex bowl from Value Village (top right).  I already owned the medium white friendship pattern cinderella bowl.  If I find a small white friendship bowl, the set will be complete! To think, I almost paid $125 at an antique mall for these!  I remember exactly what I was thinking at the time, "I will never find these in the thrift shops", quickly followed by, "I don't need to have everything!"...somehow having everything is ok if I only pay $6.99 for it!

I have posted photos of the kitchen shelves multiple times on the blog. Each time I am practically shouting at you: "THESE BOWLS ARE ALL MINE!" In other circumstances, this would be considered rude, no?  Well, here is a round up, I will try to play it cool...look down at my feet and kick the dirt while shrugging my shoulders..."yup, I guess they are mine."

Have you caught pyrex fever?!

ps. the bowl in the top photo, on the top left - the large forest fancies pattern, is from my husband. A few weeks ago, he stopped into a Value Village while out running errands and bought it for me! Best gift ever!  He caught the fever!

  8. I love your collection Shannon. And the photos capture your acquisition progress. I have only one set of Pyrex (the red/orange set that you have in the top right). Sadly, I the large red one (that I used for just about everything) dropped one day and smashed all over the place. Sad news. I can't believe that after all of these years it was me who couldn't actually take care of it properly. Trust me, I was definitely disappointed with my jelly hands at the time!
