Glitter glue and shapes

My son is too young to use scissors (I have to check walmart to see if they have toddler scissors. I think these exist, but I am not sure).  He wasn't quite strong enough to squeeze out the glue (I was barely strong enough). So we did art together.  He instructed me where to put the glue (he is a bossy two year old, so this part came naturally), he picked out the colours and shapes, and stuck the shapes onto the paper.  This art project was a trial run for a felt board and felt board shapes we are going to make together.

Also, a sneak peek of his room. We still haven't connected with black's to get the photos reprocessed. Not to mention we abandoned the idea of framing our two Murakami prints for his wall, instead, a large felt board would be fun, no?

What kind of projects do your kids enjoy?  What mandatory art supplies should this mom pick up?

  1. How cute. I need to do this with Baby C. Yesterday I got home to a BEAUTIFUL picture she drew. I was floored. It is amazing what our little ones can do at age 2 :)

  3. I love this! And that rug is so awesome. I can't wait to see the rest of his room. I have been sticking up the boys' work with masking tape, but am looking into these instead: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/10151036

That is so cute. I was thinking of making some crafts with my little munchkin, but I figured he is too young. I think we might just have to make some. I meant to ask, where you bought his comforter cover for his bed. Thanks. Have a great day!
