We hit up two thrift stores today and bought the dark orange and dark red Autumn Harvest pattern Pyrex bowls (the two on the top right), a few books, and 197 vintage LEGOS.
ps. That is a first edition of Ken Follet's, "Pillars of the Earth". I thought I struck gold, but it turns out, Abe books is selling it for a low as $10. I recently watched this short video (scroll to the bottom of the webpage) and I am now on a quest to find first edition hardcovers...
My mom has (and still uses) those same green pyrex bowls and she has had them SINCE the 70s. They must hold up well!
ReplyDeleteThose "hipster legos" are the ones I remember from my childhood. I miss them.
ReplyDeleteI love all the designs on the box! LEGO has come a long way baby!! I am joking about the hipster thing, I hope that was obvious?
ReplyDeletethey are the greatest bowls ever!
ReplyDeleteMy mom uses hers still too!
We have 19 in the cupboards we use for everyday cooking and everyday eating (I just counted) and several in the basement that don't fit upstairs!!
Never too old for Lego! Great set! I used to love building houses just like the ones in the photos. Oh...memories...
ReplyDeleteoh yes! it was definitely obvious. haha sorry!
ReplyDeletei love that you labeled this post "junk".
