Trying to decide what layout will work best

Which furniture grouping do you like better?  The dimensions are only an approximation.  A full-blown guesstimate really. The only piece of furniture we have is the square table. We need to buy a new sofa and chair(s), ottoman or bench. The cabinet thingy is a stand-in for the TV, which will be mounted on the wall with a low console underneath.  We need to choose a location for the TV - east wall, or north wall.

EAST:

NORTH:
