For $10? Why not?
Goodwill was good to us today! We found a flat woven rung - for 9.99! I don't have anywhere in my house for the rug, but Janice is going to measure her kitchen to see if it would fit there...its 5'11" x 4'3"
We also found an unsigned watercolour, apparently 'custom framed' by Let's Frame it on Bloor street. I likie! It was SUPER EXPENSIVE at $14.99 from salvation army...I think this is the most I ever spent on one item at a thrift store...
These red and white bowls match my set of Christmas dishes (originally from the bay)...$0.99 each! Score!
The Japanese bowls just came out of the back...LOVE THEM!
and some cappuccino mugs for my better half...and a little more blue, white & fragile for me!
Almost forgot! A new waste paper basket for the upstairs bathroom, and chunky book ends from Prince Edward Island.

oooh you do so well! I LOVE the Japanese bowls and the PEI bookends!! :)
ReplyDeleteLucky Janice! I hope it fits! And I love those Japanese bowls!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I like the rug. If she doesn't want it, I'll take it. Why is your salvation army/goodwill cheaper than ours? Our prices are much higher. I saw a cool antique guild frame mirror for $70. Seriously?! I did a double take. It would have probably been $15 at your stores.
ReplyDeleteYour Goodwill totally rocks. I wish I was still on mat leave! Work sucks :P
ReplyDeleteI own the teapot that matches the red/white bowls. I use it all year round because it's just too perfect. Plus, it goes well with my white-with-a-hint-of-red kitchen. Some great deals to be had, forsure! Congrats!

p.s. I think it's great that you're giving away the Martha poufs. I made white ones for a friend's birthday a couple of weeks ago...and then I felt sad when I put them in the recycle bin.
OMG I have been looking for a grey or blue rug with those dimensions EVERYWHERE. I have the weirdest front entryway. I've clearly been looking in the wrong places! If you guys don't want it/can't fit it, I'd be so happy to buy it off you for more than you paid!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Natalya!
ReplyDeleteI think Janice is going to go for it...its actually not grey or blue...its very very BEIGE! But I think beige-oatmealy colours look great with grey and blue!!!
For now the carpet is in my garage! It doesn't smell, but I figure most things can use an airing out!
