On Friday evening, I visited a Goodwill that was new to me - the Bloor street store (at Sherboure)...It.Is.Huge!!! ...If only Goodwill had been at this location when I lived at Yonge and Bloor. That could have been a beautiful friendship!
I was entirely unprepared for the volume of books at the back of the store! I picked up two I haven't read before, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, by Gregory Macguire. Both had four star ratings in Amazon (I used my RIM to inquire about their ratings while in the stacks)
Have you visited this location before? Have you read either of these books? I read Wicked a few years ago (also by G.M)...it was entertaining.

My husband LOVED Atlas Shrugged and I LOVED Wicked, please let us know how Confessions is.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to dive in!!! I am still reading Dickens...I am a bit slow because I read two other books in between chapters...(and I am on the computer right now instead of reading!)
ReplyDeleteI work a 2 minute walk from this location so this is my go-to place during lunch hour. I'm now a 15 minute walk away but I used to live in the apartment building above. Now THAT was bad for the wallet!
ReplyDeleteI always come to this location for books. You can find some like-new condition books at an insane deal if you go during the 50% off days...they're usually Fridays but they switch it up sometimes.
They have a pitiful furniture section if you can even call it that but there is usually a good selection of dinnerware, brass, and picture frames.
