Ikea Lack

While we were still renovating the basement, I imagined setting up four Ikea Lack tables in the kids corner (two on one wall, two on the other, in order to create a corner desk)...I think I told Janice about it when she came for a visit...but I never executed!!!! Why? Because once the floor mat and carpet were down, there was no longer the space to put the Lacks in the corner. Since my better half's sub woofer was previously in the way to line four Lacks as they are positioned in the photo, I just let the toys pile up in bins until I came up with a better idea....
Then two things happened on Saturday...the sub woofer moved, and I discovered the house tour in the February Toronto life (everything looks better in a magazine, no?). The rest was history!

Welcome home little yellow tables...

p.s. Can you believe they are only $7.99 each?  Do you have any in your home?
pss.  Some thrifty finds in the photo...the two kids chairs were two dollars each...the little blue box in the corner with books is from goodwill, many of the books are from goodwill of free from our kind neighbour, The ABC wooden twirly toy thing is from goodwill, the car magnets are from sally ann...I could go on and on...
psss ...sorry about the really rushed photos (I will fix later)...my men are rushing me out the door but I couldn't wait to blog (bad mommy)

  3. What a great idea. Another reason I hate that IKEA is a 3.5 hour drive for me!
