A start

This afternoon we turned the guest room into my son's room. At least, we got the bed in there (from Craigslist, purchased last summer), and the big guy has taken full ownership of the room, but I still have a lot of work to do before I am happy!
I put the bed into the corner because I wanted maximum play space.  I might move all the furniture around again, we will see!
We are going to pick up long-low expedit shelf from ikea for toys (it will go across from the window where the black nightstands are), frame a poster we have owned forever*, maybe look for a large map and...

*most likely move the Angela Cameron piece into the basement
**almost everything in the room so far is from ikea, craigslist or goodwill...

  1. Its funny - THE rug is now in my son's room. Even though he is still in the crib, I saw a spool twin bed on CL that was from the 1930s for $75 (insane) that I tried to snag but missed out on. The idea was to save it for his big boy bed. But then their two rooms would look exactly alike. Haha. Anyway - it looks good. I approve. More color - maybe old timey illustrations framed?

  2. That would be too funny if they had matching rooms! I definitely need more colour! and stuff on the walls! But the toys will add a crazy mashup of colour too!

  3. I love the bed, I've been looking for one of these in Ottawa and there's none! :( And driving to TO or MTL just seems really sad. But so does ordering a brand new one from the Land of Nod :( I wish Ottawa has a better CL or Kijiji.

Great bones, can't want to see more :)

I love this room already!!! The bed is fantastic, the rug is perfect too, and I love the two round pouffs at the end of the bed! Also... so cool that you got one of Sam's paintings! Which one did you pick???
