I have taken stock of my growing hoard of treasures tucked into every
recess of our home, and decided to clear out a few odds and ends.
Therefore, SEPTEMBER IS GIVEAWAY MONTH! I will hold a draw for something small each Friday (or Sunday) during September - Five Fridays, five draws, five small things. Tiny things that are easy to ship (I hope).
Item number four is a junktique from the Paris Flea Market at Vanves. A golden yellow bonbon tin, 4 1/4" diameter, 2" tall
I was digging through a pile of worn out stuff casually dumped on the sidewalk by a dealer, when I inspected this tin, and then put it down again. I found a stack of tiny saucers I loved, and bargained with my poor french and best smile. After I dropped 1.5 Euro into his outstretch hand, the dealer picked up the tin and put it into my bag along with the saucers! (I think my smile worked slightly better than my french on the older guys!)
I have never tried opening the tin, I think you need a screw driver, and a bit of elbow grease. I thought it would look nice on a shelf somewhere, but the truth is, I have quite a few things, and very few shelves. So....in the spirit with which it was handed to me, I pass it along to you, for a smile! Give it a good home!
