To do
Pick up toys,
Make beds,
Fold socks,
and wash the kid's laundry...
and this is just upstairs!
What messes will you tackle today?
(I am trying out the 50mm prime lens)
***UPDATE***
It's 10:13am and no more mess! When I brought the clothes to the laundry room I nearly flipped out! I forgot we had all the little cousins here on Monday night and the basement was TOY BOMBED...with my preschooler's help, we cleaned up that disaster too!

My list is pretty similar... our house is a mess, but I've been getting a lot of cuddles and giggles recently, so I say it's a pretty fair trade off hahaha (except laundry... we need clean clothes... especially B who actually has to go to work)...
ReplyDeleteEven messes look good in your photos. Jeez. Love that you share what real life is like in your gorgeous home.
ReplyDeleteYou made a pile of messy clothes look like art with your mad camera skillz! I took my driving test this morning and I was so nervous beforehand, that I cleaned the whole house from top to bottom! Thought I would put my nervous energy to good use!
ReplyDeleteLove this post. Just love. It looks like our house. :)
ReplyDelete:) I picked up everything, but then again, we've made a few more messes along the way!!!
ReplyDeleteAre congrats in order?
ReplyDeleteI took my final driving test about 4 years ago...I haven't been behind the wheel since.
Now we have a SUV I can drive (automatic) and I have no excuses, I have to just do it!
Lucky for me my license doesn't expire. Unlucky for everyone else on the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every morning I wake up to messes...every afternoon I clean new messes...every evening there is more to pick up.
ReplyDeleteIt is a battle! I hope my kids grow up to be neat...although, I think being neat might not be taught - maybe it is just part of your nature? I don't know! A topic for another discussion!
My husband does most of the laundry (wash & dry) on Sunday evenings...I do the folding on Monday morning...
ReplyDeletethe baby stuff I have to do mid week, as well as on the weekends...he poops and spits up on a full load within a few days!
Haha.........toy bombed from the cousins. Sounds like the kids had fun at your house on Monday! Im sure the mess will be worth the sweet memories you'll have. So cute to hear that your son is Mr. Helpful.
ReplyDelete"Toy bombed" is hilarious. I've actually given up the Sysiphean task of cleaning up toys more than two or three times a week. Our house is covered with train tracks and oversized foam block towers. I don't have the heart to disassemble my hurricane of a son's creations, but also I am just too burnt out on straightening up anymore. I'm sort of over cleaning up, and coming from a person who used to have to tidy everything before having a cup of coffee, that's a big deal! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing that a beautifully designed house still looks good messy! And the new blog design looks great.
ReplyDeletelove that you documented this. thats life with kids. if 1 floor of our house is clean, chances are the other floors are a wreck!
ReplyDeletethis post has authenticity written ALL over it :) Great meeting you face to face today!
ReplyDeleteI love the bed frame in your master bedroom. Where did you get it?
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel!
ReplyDeleteWe bought it at West Elm about 3 years ago
the jute is not my favorite because it's sooo rough....it was clearance at that time, i cant remember why, but it was cheap!
