Four minutes

How much time would you say you spend cleaning? I feel like a permanent fixture in front of the sink, washing dishes.

Tonight while making dinner, when the beer can chicken had six minutes left to cook, I raced to finish the dishes before the timer went off! Go! Go! Go!

My son immediately spilled a bottle of water across the desk - super great...I wiped that mess up with a dish towel and moved on...

At the three minute mark I could smell the broccoli! Don't burn - don't burn - shit!

The baby started fussing after three and a half minutes or so... just a few more plastic bowls...and...

ONLY FOUR MINUTES TO DO THE DISHES!  High fives!!! Fist pump! Yesssss!

Wait a minute  - I could have sworn I spent hours everyday with my hands in suds.

Have you ever timed how long it takes to complete everyday tasks?  Do you try to track where your time actually goes (as if it is sneaking away somewhere - all stealth-like?)? Don't you love beer-can chicken?

ps. It only took 13 minutes to fold the laundry yesterday

woah lady...you are on fire. 4 minutes? wow. I really need to track my time...i don't know where my time goes and then I get cranky for not getting enough done. My husband loves beer-can chicken- i'm a veggie.

Yummy chicken! I always race the clock on laundry folding and I purposely dump it on the dining room table to force us to get it done right away.

  4. ha! I feel like I'm always cleaning... my hands are so dry from dishes, also no one told me that there would be SO much more freaking laundry with a second child in the house - who knew a little 11lb kid could dirty so many clothes ;).

  5. Haha - you took the words right out of my mouth! I feel the exact same way. The dishes literally multiply after you have a baby, never mind two like you! That being said, I just got a dishwasher after 3 long years of not having one and it is HEAVEN on earth. Pure bliss. Gives me time to cruise blogs like yours. Cheers!

  6. I remember boiling my broccoli then forgetting about it. I came back to check out and it was all brown. I still ate it but it wasn't that tasty.
