Kitchen niche

Its pretty obvious that this is not a basement post.  I am just so happy to finally have the glass shelves installed in the kitchen that I had to share! Now I need to style them up!

I put a few cookbooks and my vintage glass chicken jars (Do you believe I bought them separately? - one at a church rummage sale and one at goodwill 3 years later).  I originally intended to fill the niche with books, however, I don't want to obstruct the lighting.  Maybe a small plant?  You can count on me to rearrange objects from all over the house until I get it just right.
