Recovered a chair ...

I did this. (See the before, here)

I wish I hadn't.

It took too much time, and I am not crazy about it.  The old wool blanket I used just seems dirty and a little too woolly bully!

  1. I think the pattern has a lot of interest! Maybe if the chair was re-painted a different colour it might help?

  2. I actually liked the blue vase in that little nook together with the blue fabric on the chair. But the new one looks good too from the picture...it just doesn't stand out as much.

  3. I like it. It's not as dynamic as the blue, but the pattern is lovely. So frustrating when you spend all that time completely a project and then don't love the end result, though. Grr.

  4. I love that you've shared a project that you're not happy with! They don't all work out -- you win some, you lose some, right?

  5. Did you actually remove the blue fabric or just put the new fabric over it? I want to recover my dining room chairs with something new and fun...I totally understand that itch to change something that is totally great as is!

  6. I think it looks great! I love the contrast of the wool and the shiny chair. But it seems like I am one of the only ones... haha

  7. The contrast of the glossy black with the faded beige is interesting and I think I like the chair. But maybe it's just not right for your space. You have such great, crisp colours in your art and accessories. But it does look good with your niche vase. . . . Live with it for a bit and see. It might grow on you.

  8. I agree with you ;) Separately they are both grand but just not together. Now it looks like it's waiting to be recovered!
