Styling the Foyer
A quick follow up post to show you what I decided...this basket! Small, round, lidded...I know it wasn't an option! What can I say? I read all your comments, then I dug around some more and found this guy in the upstairs office! (Originally from Salvation Army)
I also tried this rug from goodwill. I still love it, but can't find a place for it in the house. I am keeping the grey Weinrib in the foyer...
Also, I wanted to shout out to Lisa, who popped by today to pick up a few things from the garage sale. I may have bungled my first impression! Do over! Do over! I was a bit awkward in my messy house and didn't even offer you something to drink! (or a chair)...anyways, it was a pleasure to meet you!!

oh that grey weinrib....total love.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice on the basket - love it. The scale, texture and colour are great.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice!
ReplyDeleteThe medallion rug still works better in your foyer.
ReplyDeletehaha that is a hilarious first impression recap! But PS - if your foyer looks like that, I'm sure she didn't notice anything but! it's gorgeous...I'm especially jealous of your thin rad, and all the gorgeous light!
ReplyDeleteLove the basket: nice choice!
ReplyDeleteLove that foyer! So neat and clean! Love all you choices! Thanks for visiting and commenting on my Paris post! It was a dream of a lifetime trip - but now we want to go back - we're allowed two dream of a lifetime trips aren't we??? :)
ReplyDeleteFront foyer looks pretty awesome! Love that chair! Where did you get it from?
ReplyDeleteOh as if....you were a great host considering I showed up at your house slightly unexpected while you were just arriving with two busy kiddies! Your house is ahhh-mazing....so much gorgeous natural light! I felt slightly like a stalker walking through your house, as I feel like I've been there a million times before, and that I know so much about you given we've never met!! Either way, we should do it again before my mat leave milage runs out!!! Thanks for the stuff - I'll do a post about it soon!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! I have been to Paris at least 5 times!
ReplyDeleteThe chair is from West Elm...
ReplyDeleteOur designer did this room! I painted the console shiny black...and added the little black chair in corner of stairs, the vases, the plant, the basket...but the bones (art, rug, furniture, mirror) were shopped for by a designer 3 years ago!!!
