The basement renovation wrapped up last August, and we STILL haven't made the space 'all it can be'...I have a ton of beefs with the space: everything feels pushed out toward the perimeter of the room (a coffee table might help); those wagner-esk beige and teak vintage chairs are still out of place to me; and the bare walls need to be addressed...
I couldn't even find some interesting vignettes to capture (maybe because I am not inspired by the room? or maybe because they just aren't there)
What changes would you make? Where would you start? Art or coffee table or new chairs*? We are now so used to the room as is, that we stopped seeing the ugly...and we stopped trying to make it gorgeous.
* FYI: The media console my husband wants is UGLY and has some sort of anti vibration technology or something...so I am stuck there too!
ps. I still want to do this ...we haven't made it to a DIY store to get the materials.
